Volunteer Opportunities
This is the story of how 10 days spent in Louisiana unfolded day by day. It is the story of how a terrible time in history provided the spark to get involved in life in a new way. It provided inspiration to reach out to others and tap into new energy. It reminded me that aging is a positive thing, that it brings new freedom with many new meaningful possibilities.

It was a reminder that one does not have to shatter any athletic, academic or financial records to be productive and love life. It is a reminder that happiness is not dependent upon having one’s picture on the front cover of Time Magazine, winning the lottery or having throngs of people clamoring for an autograph. It is a reminder that joy is found in small every day occurrences through sharing, giving and receiving.
